Kind Words
Over the summer I visited Alex's Safe Place. I found myself mesmerized. I had lost my mom 2 weeks prior and could not cry or even talk about it. I stood and watched these beautiful creatures and before I knew it, my eyes welled up and I began to cry for the first time, I felt so safe and loved. Animals are the best therapy.
Imagine the soothing sound of a waterfall, flowing into a beautiful pond with ducks lazily floating atop, the cracking of an outdoor fire, and the serenity of gazing upon horses along with mini donkeys, alpacas and did I mention a darling little kangaroo? This is a place of healing and peace. To just be...Alex's Safe Place is just that, a safe caring environment, with caring compassionate people, I cannot recommend it enough. And who doesn't agree that sharing time with animals is the best kind of therapy there is. Thank you, Patti, mission accomplished.
My husband and I had the privilege of visiting this wonderful sanctuary last month and we could just feel the love that surrounded the animals! Patti & Mark have so much love to give-they are truly amazing, and you can tell that they are whole heartly committed to this mission. We cannot wait to visit again.
I brought my daughter out to meet everyone and instantly felt welcomed and at peace inside. My daughter loved being able to just hang out with all the animals, who are very friendly and love people. Hearing about each of their stories and seeing what Alex's Safe Place is doing for them and being able to be part of that is such an amazing thing. My daughter lights up every time we talk about it and can't wait to go back. Seeing that spark in her again is something I thought I wouldn't see after the trauma our family has been through. I am so thankful to have found Alex's Safe Place.
